Liberal Democrats on West Devon Borough Council

Cllr Alison Clish-Green

Tavistock South West Ward

Alison has lived in Tavistock for more than 20 years, and is a part-time school teacher. She is also an experienced Community Councillor, who many local residents will know as Tavistock South's representative on West Devon Borough Council for sixteen years. In this Election she is standing for the new South West Ward in Tavistock, which raises the number of Tavistock’s Council seats to seven.

She is particularly interested in campaigning for “quality of life” issues which matter so much to local people. This currently includes fighting for better road safety measures along the Plymouth Road, and supporting the Bishopsmead Playpark Committee in their effort to improve the local facilities for children and teenagers.

Alison is also well known to many Tavistock residents for her dedication to environmental issues, including starting the recycling scheme across the Borough. She is dedicated to helping the young, and started the Junior Life Skills training which is now available to all Schoolchildren in their sixth school year.

She has the time, enthusiasm and commitment to make a difference in the new Tavistock South West ward.
