Lib Dems MEP is ‘greenest’ in the South West
South West Liberal Democrats MEP Graham Watson has been officially declared
the region’s most environment-friendly MEP.
Friends of the Earth has published a European election “votewatch” website,
in which Graham ranks higher than any other MEP in the region and among the
highest of all UK MEPs in his record on green issues.
“Right-wing Conservative MPs and the UK Independence Party are out to scupper
Britain’s place in Europe. This will stem the flow of positive environmental
laws into the UK” said Lib Dems Euro candidate Tony Welch.
